Now in its third edition, The Sandbox Showcase has quickly become one of the North West’s most exciting new film nights — a space where bold short films, grassroots talent, and genuine creative energy collide on the big screen.
Hosted at the Picturehouse at FACT Liverpool, the Sandbox is more than a screening — it’s a night out with purpose. We spotlight first-time and emerging filmmakers, share stories that rarely make it into traditional festivals, and open the doors wide to those rewriting the rules of what filmmaking can look like.
At this edition, you’ll experience a carefully curated lineup of short films that challenge, delight, and inspire — from cinematic dramas and lo-fi experiments to boundary-pushing DIY entries straight from our Trial & Error monthly filmmaking challenge.
